Locaccino is much more fun if your friends and family use it too. Here are some tips for suggesting Locaccino to them.
Remember, your friends and family don’t need a smartphone to find you on Locaccino. All they need is a Facebook account to see your current location. If they have a laptop or a smartphone then they can share their location too!
Ask them for help and send them a link to more info
Send your Facebook friends a link to http://locaccino.org/help-your-friend-help-us so they can learn more about our study and what we’re trying to do. By helping you they have a chance to win a $20 Amazon gift card.
The “Invite friends“ tab:
You can send invitations to your friends to join Locaccino through Facebook by clicking the “Invite friends“ tab and selecting the friends you want to invite.
Your friends will get an invitation as a Facebook notification. Try to overestimate here, since many people either ignore or don’t notice these notifications. If you need 10 friends for the study, try to invite 15.

The “Like” Button:
Try letting your Facebook Friends know you’re using Locaccino by clicking the “Like” button on the map page.

The “Share on Facebook” link:
You can let your friends know where you currently are by posting your location to Facebook using the “Share on Facebook” link on the map page.
When you do this, a message will appear on your wall showing your current locations to your friends. This is a good way to share your location, plus it helps let your friends know you’re using Locaccino.

Nothing works better than an old fashioned email or instant message or Facebook wall posting to your friends to let them know you’re using Locaccino! Send them to http://locaccino.org to find out more!
